We're deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend and colleague John Arsenault. In addition to his amazing skills as a conductor and music director, John was also a skilled Tenor and professional flautist, as well as the very best of colleagues and friends. He performed or directed with countless companies, orchestras, opera, and so much more throughout the region.

John was Musical Director for Heroic Opera's production of Don Carlo. He was always kind, patient, and ready with a laugh or a compliment. His presence, skill, and warm personality with be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Meet the Artists: Garrett Quirk as the Announcer (Saturday evening and Sunday matinee)

Do you have your tickets yet? https://buytickets.at/heroicoperacompany/1221061

Garrett Quirk’s mother will be the first one to tell you how he likes to act up. There’s a fire in that boy that only grows bigger with time. He began by founding a theatre company (Flying Shoe Players), and a film company (K/G Productions) while getting his theatre degree at Algonquin College in Ottawa. After starring in the Importance of Being Earnest (Plosive Productions ) and Twelfth Night (A Company of Fools Theatre Inc ), he tied a bandana to a stick and moved to Vancouver. First, he bought himself a great hat, and then starred in TV Shows (A Series of Unfortunate Events , Charmed , Two ), and hit the stage in Seminar (Stages Theatre Company ) and Taming of the Shrew (Stone's Throw Productions ) among many other fantastic endeavours. Making audiences feel something special is what drives him, and he’s grateful for the opportunity.
