A group of artists and astrophysicists exploring art, science, and technology through the Nobel Prize-winning discovery of the accelerating universe.
We're a group of artists and astrophysicists at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Together, we're creating High Z, an immersive installation based on the 2011 Nobel Prize-winning discovery of the accelerating expansion of the universe. Follow us to get a behind the scenes look at our process. Led by Canadian sisters, writer Naima Kristel Phillips and astrophysicist Dr. Lara Arielle
Phillips, High Z is an international collaboration with astrophysicist Dr. Keith Davis and theatre artists David Bengali, Fatma Sarah Elkashef, and Dr. Yael Prizant. Join us as we explore the abilities of art and astronomy to inform, inspire and transform human interactions. This project is possible thanks to generous support from the following organizations. We're a group of artists and astrophysicists exploring the abilities of art, science, and technology to inform, inspire, and transform human interactions. Together, we're creating High Z, an immersive performance based on the 2011 Nobel Prize-winning discovery of the accelerating expansion of the universe.
High Z is being developed as a touring show for an intimate audience in planetariums. To launch our process, we interviewed members of the High-Z Supernova Search Team, one of the two teams that made the discovery. Set in an artistic interpretation of a telescope observatory, the performance will take audiences on a sensory journey through the human effort and stories behind the discovery.
