James Ho

pkins is steadily rising as an artist thanks to his dedication to the craft of DJ’ing and his unflinching passion for making music. In 2011 James began to DJ locally in his hometown of Vancouver after teaching himself at home. By 2012 he was immersing himself in the world of production, spending hours locked away in the studio developing his sound. A stint in London (UK), where he studied Audio Engineering & Sound Design at the universally-respected Point Blank music school, deepened his love for electronic music and he returned to Canada with a fresh set of skills and a renewed zeal.
2014 saw the 23 year old begin showcasing his music worldwide, playing shows in Miami, Atlanta (USA), Las Palmas, Lugo, Vigo (Spain), London (UK) and Wroclaw (Poland) to name a few. He has signed music on some highly respected labels such as Monique Musique, Frequenza, Incorrect, Malicious Smile and Datagroove, among others. . His releases have gained support from some of the industries biggest names including Paco Osuna, Dubfire, Stefano Noferini, Luciano, Maetrik, Marco Carola and many more. Aside from spending time behind the decks and in the studio, James recently started a label of his own together with London-based duo The Willers Brothers (Egg London). Inner Lining will be a platform for music produced by the label owners
themselves as well as a wide range of up-and- coming and established talent. He has also launched his own night / brand ‘Hideout’ in Vancouver, as well as being a resident at one of the city’s best-known club promotions ‘You Plus One’ and its after-hours ‘Gorg-O-Mish’, where his dark, techno-leaning sound fits perfectly. All the while he continues to explore the techno landscape, creating a new alias ‘OHNIN’ for his more melodic flirtations with the genre. With youth on his side and an unrelenting, determined frame of mind James Hopkins is poised to be a scene leader. It’s an exciting time for the Canadian as he continues to work tirelessly to reach the top. With such deep-rooted passion, it’s only a matter of time before he gets there...

Cato Kane

A Toronto native, Cato has always been a fan of music, and was exposed to a variety of different genres at a young age. But it wasn't until he moved to Vancouver, that he fell in love with house music and started attending underground shows. Eventually, his passion for underground music became so strong, he decided to give DJing a try. It didn't take long for people to recognize Cato's talent. In only one year, he has played at some of Vancouver’s biggest nightclubs. Regular appearances at Gorg-o-mish, Ginger 62, and most recently Shine Nightclub have given him the opportunity to showcase his favourite tech-house and techno tracks, giving Vancouver clubbers a taste of his underground sound. In additional to playing at local resident nights, Cato has already opened for several internationally known DJs including Sander Kleinenberg, Popof, Filthy Rich, Anthony Attalla and Cato’s favourite DJ and producer, Carlo Lio. “Playing before world-class DJs forces me to do my homework. It has given me a huge appreciation for opening music, and has taught me the importance of setting a groove, so the headliner can go on and destroy the dance floor.”

For the remainder of the year, Cato wants to finish the year strong and continue to work with Vancouver’s best promotion companies including Blueprint Events, Eleven Eleven Events, Intimate Productions and Twisted Productions. In 2014 he plans to enter the world of production which will allow him to create tracks that truly characterize his sound. One of Cato’s favourite expressions is “I’ve got tracks for days.” Refusing to play the same song twice, Cato is constantly on the hunt for new music. And that is exactly what you get when you hear Cato play – only the freshest underground tracks available. Rob Caruk

Rob Caruk, the ultimate man of mystery. His low key persona and ability to dodge any human with a camera have only aided his professional career of 13 years to the success that it is today. Rob plays and creates sounds that could only emit from a professional who dominates a leading role, however his true passion lies in the role of the supporting act. His niche is found in the second room of any major party where his deep and dark sound is at home. Rob is currently a resident at Vancouver's most popular afterhours, Gorg-O-Mish, as well as Shine Nightclub's "Delete Fridays". If that doesn't keep him busy enough, Rob also curates a music blog called Low Motion Music (lowmotionmusic.com/) showcasing some of his impecable musical taste.
