PTC PTC is a dramaturgical theatre company that finds, nurtures, and advances Canadian playwrights.

PTC has for fifty years supported Canadian playwrights, the least visable yet most integral player in the theatrical ecosystem. PTC is a unique organisation - the only nationally-mandated play development centre west of Montreal - that functions as a dramaturgically-focused theatre company. In our practice, we support the writer with research, script responses, creative conversations, and collabo

ration facilitation. We design and lead workshops at any stage of the creative process, often in partnership with producing companies.

Join Christina Cook this June for a two-day workshop, Gender Liberation & Your Story: Trans Auto-Narratives on Stage. Creating trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming autobiographical narratives for the stage challenges cisnormative discourses and misinformation currently dominating media, political, and health contexts, and champions the countless ways of traversing, living across, or outside of rigid gender binaries.

This workshop will explore strategies for trans, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming playwrights who want to explore autobiographical narratives in their work. Trans ways of knowing suggest alternative forms and tools for embodying auto-narratives on stage, including genre agnosticism and fiction-as-autobiography. These playwriting practices are rooted in transformation, advocacy, and relational care and connection.

Writing Scenes of Intimacy… beyond “they kiss” with Melanie Yeats
DATE: June 18th & 25th, 2026 | TIME: 6 – 8 pm | LOCATION: online via Zoom
COST: Full $315 | Reduced $80 | 2 FREE spots

Playwrights often struggle to articulate scenes of s*xual or physical intimacy on the page. Scenes of intimacy can include depictions of s*xual innuendo, kissing, s*x acts (consensual and non-consensual), personal/medical care, or non-s*xual physical touch that conveys essential storytelling in the play. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to approach intimate moments in your play with precision and creativity. If you can write scenes of intimacy well, you’ll empower directors and performers to stage your work in ways that do justice to the play as a whole.

the state of being a fan of someone or something, especially a very enthusiastic one.

Meet the artists behind the art!

For UNSCRIPTED: Lost Season, two local artists were commissioned to create "fan art" as part of the exhibit for 90's cult hit, Agent Faraway: The Lost Detective.

Image 1: Adonis King - Adonis created fictional reddit threads with fans searching for videos of Agent Faraway: The Lost Detective.

Image 2: Sotura Cheung - In lieu of a headshot, please enjoy
one of their beloved feline Winter, the best muse, and the joy and bane of their days.
Sotura created fan merch keychains (which they made prototypes of!) and added to the online lore with memes.
