The VISION of RED CLOUD

Woods Cree Metis, Sweat leader, story teller. writer, friend. Began the "Rebirth Of Mother Earth" Gathering in 1982, started in Chase Reserve ended at the Barnes Creek Fair Grounds, Edgewood in 1992. Medicine Wheel teacher and author.
a Vision was given to Red Cloud by Frog Clan, during sweat lodge:
It went like this, He was shown the pollution on the planet, and was shown that it is from our inner, a spiritual pollution that effects the outer world. That to heal this earth we must clear our spiritual pollution first. And so he created this gathering.
Precepts of R.o.M.E. gathering:
That the Gathering would welcome all traditions, all medicine ways, all forms of Prayer, all elders and ways would be honoured.
1) To gather 10 Medicine Elders as council, together to create a right of passage for the people of the 4 directions.
2) By donations only and volunteers.(suggested donation).
3) That the elders gathered, would receive funding to get home or to their next event.
4) Medicine wheel is planted on Saturday morning. a fire keeper is assigned, a main drum would be hosted.
5) That the gathering would be somewhere different each year. So to spread the medicine prayers around to the communities hosting.
6) The Gathering was 4 days long. Sunrise ceremony, sweats, vison questing, to be in prayer, workshops. to teach how to walk the medicine wheel in a good way. Elder teachings, woman's teachings, and sweat lodge teachings. Everyone speaks at the opening circle.
Let us come togather to honor this way, and leave our children with hope for a good life. 2014
