Miami, FL, where he was inspired by the city’s vibrant party culture. He cultivated a lifelong love of music, and began DJ’ing professionally in 2011 while attending Florida A&M University. He would eventually pause his career to join the US Navy, but music was never far from his mind. One day, while looking out over a peaceful San Diego sunset, it occurred to him that music was his true passion, and he recommitted himself on the spot. Uncle Smiley relocated to his current home of Washington state and quickly earned a reputation for stellar performances. In particular, he has a fondness for roller rink parties, and dedicated himself to keeping the tradition of late night skating parties alive. Since then, Uncle Smiley has hosted countless events, earning rave reviews from attendees in the process. Currently, Uncle Smiley maintains a prolific schedule of performances around the Washington area. His unique set of skills and expertise in music continue to keep him in high demand. Uncle Smiley the DJ is a one of a kind performer and he looks forward to bringing events to the next level for years to come.
