Our 'Son of a Preacherman' national tour begins at Ottawa's National Arts Centre, a place that has spent decades championing Canadian artists and the stories they carry✨

The NAC is Canada's bilingual, multi-disciplinary home for the performing arts — Orchestra, Dance, English Theatre, French Theatre, Indigenous Theatre, and Popular Music and Variety, all under one roof, alongside decades of work nurturing the next generation of artists and audiences from coast to coast to coast.

Thank you, NAC, for welcoming 'Son of a Preacherman'. We're honoured to open our tour herešŸ’›

PT is looking for new Board MembersšŸ‘€

It has been a time, and we're grateful for the wise and tenacious folks who've helped steer our ship into new waters. Some of their terms are wrapping up, so we're thinking ahead✨

You'd be joining a strong, committed, genuinely fun group as we head into a season of strategic planning and growth. We're looking for people with the capacity to give roughly 10 hours/month over three years — and right now we're especially hoping to hear from folks with legal, HR, or pastoral backgrounds.

Could that be you? Email [email protected] with a bit about yourself and we'll be in touch.šŸ’›

We’re happy to report that we’ve raised an incredible $87,480 so far on our Open Road campaign! That means we can bring most of the actors and 87% of their luggage on touršŸŽŠ

Just kidding🤣

In all seriousness, embarking on a cross-country tour is full of all kinds of logistics, and every dollar raised helps us pay for plane tickets, accommodations, cars, actors, designers, and of course - the most important thing on any road trip - snacksšŸš—

The Open Road campaign will fund our national tour and the rest of our 26-27 artistic season on Granville Island. With just $12,520 left to raise by September 7, every gift helps! Please consider a contribution HERE.

We will be ā€œgone fishingā€ July 27- August 7th. If you have ticket questions or need us in any way as you make your PT plans for next year, please get in touch before the end of this week (best email to use is [email protected]). Tickets can be purchased online for all of next season’s shows at www.pacifictheatre.org.

We will be back online in August, but on a reduced schedule, so we may be slower to respond. Hope you also get a similar break this summer! ā˜€ļø

The Open Road Campaign is making possible our first ever Granville Island season, including a national tour with Ins Choi, our beloved Christmas Presence, and a brand new work by local playwright Jill Daum. šŸ¤

At the halfway mark of our campaign, we are already 80% of the way towards our goal of raising 100k. Incredible! šŸ™Œ

Thanks to all who have contributed so generously already. And if you haven’t donated yet - now’s your chance. With just under two months left to raise the remaining $20,000 - every little bit helps us reach our goal! āœØļø
