Have you gotten your tickets yet? 👀

We’re just days away from Let’s Hear It for 2-Spirit!, featuring Theo Rhetical, a Two-Spirit drag king of Peepeekisis Cree and Métis ancestry.

Known for his striking artistry, Theo won Best Makeup at the 2025 Draggys. He is a drag son of Heathen and Genesis, and together they form the Haus of Eden, the city’s only all-drag-king house.

Theo joins a powerhouse lineup featuring Ella Lamoureux, Ilona Verley, Thanks Jem, and Jaylene Tyme, with DJ O Show bringing the soundtrack for the night. 💅

Beyond the performances, guests can shop from invited 2-Spirit vendors, enjoy bannock and light refreshments, and stop by the CBRC's table for zines and educational resources on 2-Spirit identities.

The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art is pleased to announce the acquisition of 'River Man' and 'Ocean Woman', two prints by Ocean Hyland, for its permanent collection.

Featured in our current exhibition, 'Every River Has a Mouth: The Visual Languages That Connect Us', the works reflect on teachings of balance: rivers carrying masculine energy and the ocean embodying feminine strength. Water emerges as a source of life, spirit, and story. It is also a teacher, a connector, and a living presence.

In recent years, the Gallery has prioritized strengthening the representation of women and Salish artists within its collection. Ocean’s accomplished printmaking practice and multidisciplinary body of work make these prints meaningful additions to the Gallery’s holdings, supporting future exhibitions, research, and interpretation.

Visit the Gallery to see 'River Man' and 'Ocean Woman' on display in 'Every River Has a Mouth', on view until February 14, 2027.
