Mindy was in Montreal recently for the reading of a brand new translation, commissioned by The Search Party 🎭

“Ce Qui Se Sont Évaporés”, originally by Rébecca Déraspe, has been translated by Leanna Brodie. It was amazing to have the initial workshop in Montreal where the text originated. What a gift it was to have these incredible artists work on the play and to meet Rébecca - who is a phenom!

“Those Who Have Evaporated” asks the question - what would inspire a woman to evaporate from her own life? The play follows Emma, a seemingly ordinary woman who vanishes, leaving behind her job, partner, family, and child.

Next steps - a design and second draft workshop is planned for February, with a hope to produce! 🔥

Coming to The Cultch this fall 👀 ’JOB’ - a psychological thriller that examines what it means to be a citizen of the internet.

Jane, an employee at the big tech company (you know the one), has been placed on leave after becoming the subject of a viral video. She arrives in the office of a crisis therapist – Loyd – determined to be reinstated to the job that gives her life meaning. A psychological thriller, JOB zooms in on two careerists of different generations, genders and political paradigms to examine what it means to be a citizen of the internet and our obligation to help the people who need it most.

Starring Brian Markinson and Elizabeth Barrett, directed by Mindy Parfitt.

September 29 - October 11th at the Historic Theatre.

Not to be missed! 🔥 Mark it in your calendars - or better yet, get yourself a ticket at the link below and lock it in:

We are sooooo here for this 🎉

Our friends at and are throwing The Rumpus Awards — a night dedicated to honouring the gloriously chaotic, heartfelt, and downright ridiculous moments that make Vancouver’s theatre community shine.

Example categories are “The Saved Our Butts Award for Excellence in Emergency Understudying”, “Sexiest Chair”, and of course ”Best Rehearsal Snack.” …just pure joy and well-deserved recognition for each other!
