Company picnics are always a good time, and this one with the Royal LePage Elite team in Port Coquitlam might be one of my favourites yet. I ended up painting one of the co-owners as a pink Spider-Man to match his shirt, and honestly that's exactly the kind of request I love getting. Blending right into the team's energy is what makes a work picnic feel less like an obligation and more like an actual celebration.

Quick heads up, because this happens more than you’d think. Our replies sometimes land in junk mail, especially the first time we email someone. Adding [email protected] to your contacts helps make sure the next one lands in your inbox.

Instagram has its own version of this. Messages from accounts we don’t follow can get filed under message requests or spam, so a booking question can sit there for days before we see it. With fall and holiday dates filling up fast right now, that’s not a delay anyone wants.

For dates and pricing, the inquiry form on our website is the best way to reach us. It asks for everything we need up front, so we can check availability and give you a real answer without the back and forth. You can also try our online quote estimator for a ballpark first.

It's genuinely surprising when you think about it: face painting works right up against eyes, nose and mouth, prime territory for spreading pink eye, cold sores, acne, or a cold or flu if hygiene isn't taken seriously. And yet there are many face painting "businesses" operating without a valid local business license or liability insurance. No one's checking. That's on you to ask about, not assume.

Company family BBQs hit different when the whole team brings their kids along, and this crew in Surrey was such a fun group to paint for. Balloon twisting and face painting side by side means there's always something going for every age, my favorite kind of corporate event to work. If your company's planning a family day or summer BBQ next year, I'd love to be part of it.

A long line doesn't just mean unhappy guests in the moment, it's what ends up in the photos from your event too, a lineup stretching past the next booth instead of painted faces and smiles. It goes further than that though. Guests stuck waiting aren't experiencing your event, they're missing the other activities, the food, the reason they came. The right number of artists keeps lines moving, which means guests stay longer, spend more, and leave with a real memory of your event, the kind that makes them want to come back next year. Stuck in a long line in the heat or the cold for a rushed design, and that impression sticks instead, along with the empty seats at next year's event.

This family was hanging out in the VIP hospitality village at BC Place for FIFA World Cup 2026, and instead of full face designs, we kept it simple, small flag accents and soccer balls on the cheeks so they could wear their gear, take photos all day, and not worry about a design smudging. Honestly that was the vibe for most of my World Cup looks this year. Quick, clean accents that let people show their team spirit without committing to a full face in the middle of a busy event day. Getting to be part of the World Cup coming through Vancouver has been one of the highlights of my whole season.

Annual company BBQs are always a good time, but Delta takes the cake this year. Between the face painting for the kids and getting a few brave adults in the chair too, honestly painting a burger design on someone's bald head might be my favorite memory from any BBQ this year. Getting grown-ups excited about face painting is one of my favorite parts of corporate events, it's not just for the kids. If your team's planning a summer BBQ or holiday party, I'd love to bring that same energy.

Here’s something people don’t think about until it happens to them: this industry has a lot of turnover. Someone starts out, then bails for a better-paying gig, or just doesn’t have the confidence to follow through once it’s real. That’s usually the story behind a cancelled artist.

I’ve been doing this over three years, and I’ve cancelled two or three events total, always when I was genuinely sick. Even then, my first move was finding another artist to cover it before I ever called to cancel.

That’s the part that actually matters when you’re booking someone for a day that can’t be redone. Not just can they paint, but what happens when something goes wrong on their end.
