The Appreciation Station is genuinely one of the most loved parts of our setup at large events, and it is not just cute, it is strategic. Kids take a long time to admire themselves in a chair mirror, which slows down the line.

The Appreciation Station gives them a dedicated spot to soak it all in, snap photos, and show off their design while we keep the line moving.

Moms love it, kids love it, and those photos almost always end up saved or shared. It is a win all around. 📸 Tag us in your photos from our events!

A question every event planner asks, and it's a great one.

Each MJC Artistry artist can paint approximately 20-25 guests per hour.

For birthday parties, we cap bookings at 20 kids per
2-hour session to make sure every child gets a great design without a long wait.

For larger community or corporate events? We highly recommend booking multiple artists. More artists means shorter lines, smoother flow, and no disappointed kids at the end of the queue.

I assumed when I started face painting there would be certifications to take and inspections to pass. There weren't.

In BC there are guidelines but almost no enforcement. No in person certifications anywhere in Metro Vancouver.

Anyone can show up to an event with paint and call themselves a professional.

So I built my own standards. And eventually I started teaching them.

Did you know your skin type can actually affect how face paint looks and lasts? Oily skin is more prone to smudging, dry skin can crack without a little hydration first, and if you have sensitive skin, always let your artist know ahead of time so we can do a patch test before the full application.

A little heads up goes a long way for the best result! 💖
