“Angela and Vera created such a warm, welcoming space for us to hold conversations about death and grief. We shared a nourishing meal that Vera crafted and prepared with love and intention. We could share, or just listen while reflecting on our thoughts and experiences about death in a way that felt gentle and thought-provoking.”
- Patricia Ruiz, Hold Hope Counselling

Thank you again to Vera for your vigor, creativity and generosity alongside your courageous heart.

WHO IS VERA DECENA?
Vera Decena (she/her) is the founder of ColourFull Nutrition and a grief-informed nutrition counsellor and health & wellness coach. With over a decade in food, nutrition, and health sciences, she created ColourFull Nutrition after experiencing her own spousal loss, when she noticed a gap in grief care, which has plenty of emotional support, but little guidance for understanding the physical sensations that arise in grief, or how to gently care for the body in mourning. Today, Vera walks alongside the bereaved with compassionate, whole-body care, helping people gently nourish themselves, find regulation, and rebuild routines that feel manageable. She normalizes what the body goes through in grief and honours the mind-body connection, so people can feel a little more grounded as they navigate loss. Above all, she approaches this work with deep humility, continually moved by the resilience and courage people bring as they learn to live alongside their grief.

Swallow Tail sits on the ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, səlil̓wətaɁɬ, and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nations.

Thank you to all who joined and for Consent & Power in Grief, Death & Dying. This work changes in such expansive ways - I find sensing into life happens with so much more presence as a reciprocal response to sensing into death.
This work can’t be done alone.

SAT FEB 21 2026
“Consent and Power in Grief, Death and Dying”
10am-4pm

Join certified The Wheel of Consent® facilitator Helena Palmqvist De Felice and Death Conversation Game creator Angela Fama for a nourishing and heart-centered exploration of embodied consent and power in grief, death, and dying. This offering welcomes curiosity and gentle awareness towards topics and areas that are often avoided: grief, death, and power.

Together they are inviting an opportunity to notice where consent may be or feel more or less accessible and available, and how to bring more care towards ourselves and others.
