I love this color palette 🎨

It reminds me of an aerial view of warm ocean waters, what do you see? There is no wrong answer! That’s what’s so great about abstract painting... it’s kind of like a Rorschach ink blot test 😜

And here is Sasha! I’m really happy with how this one turned out, painting a black dog is harder than you think! Not to mention the gazillion blades of grass 😅

Check out my previous post to see Sasha’s sister

I used a very similar process as the other dog painting because I was working on them simultaneously. This was quite helpful since I could switch to the other one while one was drying or if I got stuck on one and needed a break.

PROCESS: sent me the inspiration photo in the second pic, and I drew over it in app on my iPad (3rd pic). Then the painting process began! I started with the background... mostly because I was afraid of messing up the dog, lol! It was really hard painting the grass, it in so happy with the way it looks. Once the background was complete, I had no more excuses and had to start working on the dog. I started with the big black shadow and then did some background colors. Once that dried, I worked on the highlights and accents, focusing on one area at a time.

I stretched and primed my own canvases this time, which was so much fun. I’ll definitely be doing more of that in the future.

Let me know what you think in the comments!

I’d love to paint more dogs in the future, so send me your fav pics of your fur babies and we can talk pricing!

sent me the inspiration photo in the second pic, and I drew over it in app on my iPad (3rd pic). Then the painting process began! I started with the background... mostly because I was afraid of messing up the dog, lol! It was really fun painting the mountain, I’m thinking of doing more mountain paintings this year. Once the background was complete, I had no more excuses and had to start working on the dog. I started with the big black shadow and then did some background colors. Once that dried, I worked on the highlights and accents, focusing on one area at a time.

Acrylic pouring - attempt 3, a success!! 🥳

This is another side project I’ve been working on, and I’m really happy with how this one turned out 😁

As some of you may remember from one of my first posts on this page, I have had difficulties with this style. I haven’t been able to get the paint to dry without cracking... this time I got the paint/water/medium ratios right and it dried so beautifully!!

I’m so proud 😝

A little break from the face mask posts 😜

Here is my beautiful niece, Sevie, rocking the onesie I redesigned for her 🤩🥲

Isn’t she the cutest baby? 😝

Swipe to see before and after photos of the onesie. I forgot to get a photo after I did the black outline 😅 oops!

Stay tuned for a time lapse of the tie dye painting 😋
