Have you ever seen that commercial...

The one when Repunzel grows tired of waiting for her prince to save her, so she finds a way to set herself free, pursuit her dreams and becoming a major success?

What I really love about that commercial is a message that I think most people missed entirely because of how deeply programed we are.

Society has conditioned us to believe that the goal to achieving our deepest desires exists outside of ourselves.

That happiness is achieved through money.

That validation is determined by how we are acknowledged and celebrated.

That love is achieved through a partner.

But, truth is, everything you need exists within yourself.

The most sustainable form of validation comes from when we acknowledge and celebrate ourselves.

Happiness is achieved when we find love.

And the most unconditional love is the love you have for yourself, even if you are at a time when you do not see or feel that to be truth.

If you are taking time to journey outside of yourself to achieve your deepest desires, why not add in a journey into yourself?

I assure you one day you will look back and be glad you did!

You are the one you have been waiting for!

I used to be a professional at ignoring the signs.

Through my own blind ambition, I used to resist and push back all of the signs that were indicating that I was out of sync with the flow of the rhythms of Life, confusing stubbornness for determination.

The signs that were telling me I needed to be still, rest, reflect, and revise.

Technical errors.

Transportation delays.

Physical injury or illness…

Consistent and persistent messages from Spirit telling me,

"No."

"Not that way."

"Go here."

“Now there…”

It took me a long time to see that I was being guided.

That nothing had been working against me, but was working to align me to who and where I needed to be. To return to the place of the Sacred Feminine within.

In the moments, it felt as though life was being ripped from my hands, catapolting me into a state of disarangement. But even if it took years, I am able to look back to see the lessons rather than focus on the losses.

And these lessons help guide me today, as I am now tuned into the ability to see the signs and flow with the natural cycles of Life.

Do you ever look up at the stars and wonder,

How does it work?

What does it mean?

What is the purpose of it all?

That was and still is me. The only thing that has changed is the questions I ask.

Because, as you ask questions, you find answers. Those answers raise more questions and you begin to dive down a rabbit hole that no other person will discover.

The rabbit hole of your own personal journey and the questions that help you to remember who you are so that you can find your way home to the place we lived like Kings and Queens.

Gods and Goddesses.

The source of creation; creators in our own right.

People will tell you that you ask silly questions.

There will be times when you feel judged.

But the only person you should ever fear judgment from is the person you see when you look in the mirror.

So, keep looking up to the stars. Keep asking your questions. And follow the answers to wherever your soul is guiding you to.

Because the (not so secret) secret is,

I am made of stars...

You are made of stars...

We are all made of stars!

Time to rise and shine!

On November 8th, and everyday, take a moment for the Indigenous Veterans, past and present, for their service, sacrifice, bravery and strength.

November 8th is Indigenous Veterans Day.

A day when we recognize and commemorate the countless First Nations, Inuit and Metis Veterans, of the past and present, for their significant contributions throughout Canadian history.

A day when we acknowledge the lives and rights to status that were sacrificed to serve in the name of Canada.

A day when we hold gratitude for their strength in the pursuit for the same rights as Canadian citizens.

To our Indigenous Veterans, past and present, prayers up, to***co down.

So much can change in a year.

Since I have reconnected with my traditional art form I have come to learn where home is, who my relatives are, and who I am as Two-Spirit.

I know I make my ancestors proud as they have rewarded me with so many blessings and answers which I have searched my life looking for.

Ironically enough, I did not find those answers while searching.

Rather, they came to me in stillness and in the flow of creation.

Follow what your heart wants and enjoy the celebrations of your accomplishments!

We have entered into the dark season!

And I am not talking about Halloween.

Having put Autumn Equinox behind us is not solely about bidding farewell to the summer season, or the glorious welcoming of the vibrant colors of the leaves.

It is a time when we are witnessing the shortening of the days and feeling the drops in temperature.

A time when the world outside begins to feel dark, cold and bitter.

We are foretold that the journey will only grow in darkness before we begin to anticipate the rebirth of the light to follow Winter Solstice.

And we as humans are no acception to the universal cycles.

Emotions will begin to arise as an invitation to heal from the trauma associated and only because you are ready and strong enough to face the shadows.

Though sitting with our emotions is an essential part of the healing journey, it is as equally important to release the emotions after we have held space for them.

It is important to release yourself from the binds that have been keeping you in the 'Grips of Darkness' so that you too can be rebirthed in new light.
