Today is day 2 of the West Coast String Summit! Come on down to 8EAST for a workshop on improvisation led by our amazing erhu aficionado Lan Tung at 2pm followed by our grand finale string improv extravaganza at 8pm! Tickets are by donation at the door. Hope to see you there!

Here's a little article about the West Coast String Summit that Improvised Arts is putting on this weekend at The Ironworks and 8EAST! So much gratitude to everyone who, with so much generosity and heart, helped to bring this festival to life. This is where I'll be celebrating my bday this Saturday! We worked really hard to put this all together and it would be rad to see you there to share in the experience. Music, food, community, art, social, new friends, old friends, craft(s)...let's slow down together for a minute and just be wrapped up in it.

Calmly, spaciously, serenely, imperturbably anticipating this lovely and incredibly needed SLOW SOCIAL, in partnership with The Only Animal, on May 25th from 5-7:30pm at The Ironworks. We hope you make your way down for an evening together crafting (or not) in community. This is a free happening and will be accompanied by sounds from Anju Singh, Toni-Leah C. Yake , and Julia Ulehla with delicious sustenance from Salishan Catering. We’ll hold space for peace, love, acceptance, and art. Hope you can come be there with us!
