You didn’t think we would leave you hanging without our wave 2 set of artists, did you?!

From ideating and leading Juicebox Collective, a well loved local Burner crew, to throwing it down at various q***r events and raves across Vancouver with DRILL, to managing Skygate, a bespoke melodic music experience… and last but not least, ideating and funding ColouredSpace, providing music lovers with events that centre inclusion, intentional events, and partying with a purpose, our wave 2 artists have so much in store for you!

Attention campers of Camp Ivanhoe, guests of the Grand Budapest hotel, and patrons upon the Belafonte ship sailed by Steve Zissou…

The time is almost near, with it being merely 2 days away until we all journey inside the magical and marvellous and magnificent Moonrise Kingdom!

From ideating and leading Bootti Frutti, the most epic camp and stage at the BC Regional Burn this year, to throwing epic Tulum jungle parties in Vancouver, spearheading a very well loved and respected q***r music and art crew called DRILL, all the way to being head of Mattress Society, the Burning Man camp that knocked it out of the park with attending their first Burning Man this year, these talented DJs and selectors will have you dancing for hours on end at our Wes Anderson underground birthday rave this Saturday!

✨ARTIST HIGHLIGHT✨ADAM

As a DJ and multi-disciplinary artist from “Vancouver”, ADAM aspires to explore and bridge the dynamic sounds of the underground club scene with various sects of their local creative community. Through focusing on collaborative work, they aspire to break down the barriers that QTBIPOC people often face in the creative industry. Alongside their best friends, they help run a Black-owned community collective called Made By We (.ca) which works with other underrepresented artists in the local and global scene, to bring together creatives from various disciplines.

ADAM’s sound is dynamic, experimental, energetic and hard-hitting. Pulling sounds from multiple genres, ADAM’s set’s take you on a sonic journey exploring themes of resistance, q***rness, and freedom.

💥HEADLINER ARTIST HIGHLIGHT💥Daria Kolosova .key

Daria Kolosova is a Kyiv-based techno DJ, co-founder of the Materia(UA) events brand, and resident of Nechto and System108. She’s played a vital role in the local Ukrainian scene, and over the past two years, the geography of her performances has expanded significantly. From Kyiv’s Closer to Funkhaus and Tresor in Berlin, Rex in Paris, fabric in London, and many more of the world’s leading clubs. She has frequent bookings at Berghain, Bassiani, Fabric, London’s Fold and Junction 2 Festival, Awakenings Festival, ADE, and last summer played at Amnesia, Hi and DC10 in her first Ibiza season. Her standout sets for Boiler Room and Hör have further propelled her profile, and she continues to conquer the world touring as a solo artist.

Lucci is a q***r, mixed-race DJ based in Vancouver. A raver first, her adventure into DJing initially began as a love for dance, eventually leading her from the world of hip hop choreography to primal floor-stomping at raves. She is endlessly inspired by the transformative nature of collective movement, as well as the capacity of music to extend connectivity to the disparate parts of ourselves and each other.

With today being International Women’s Day, ColouredSpace is proud to present our Women’s History Month DJ Showcase on March 31st from 11pm to Late in collaboration with Trip Events.

Women and non-binary electronic artists' visibility is incredibly important. For representation should not be the goal, but rather, the bare minimum.

This event seeks to bring together global female techno talent to our hometown of Vancouver, mixed in with some of the most boundary-pushing and exciting femmes and non-binary local DJs in the region. We proudly welcome our headlining act–Daria Kolosova.

“One of the most in demand selectors from the Ukrainian techno scene, Daria has been DJing for over 12 years. Based in Berlin, Daria has played some of the world’s most renowned institutions, with frequent bookings at Berghain, Bassiani, Fabric, London’s Fold and Junction 2 Festival, Awakenings Festival, ADE, and last summer played at Amnesia, Hi and DC10 in her first Ibiza season.

Not limiting her style to a single genre, she bases her style on hard and groovy techno, which she frequently mixes with breakbeat, industrial, electro, hardcore, or jungle, which always makes her performances exciting and rich in genres.
