TheiTaal Dance Academy We teach Kathak and Bharathanyam dance styles and we do workshops for dancers who are really interested in this. Do you or your child love to sing and dance??

Thei-Taal Dance Academy provides the perfect introduction to movement of dance. Dancers will learn many skills to enhance their balance, coordination, social skills and confidence. Music and traditional beats are provided for a nurturing and stimulating, yet structured classroom specifically designed for any age. Our lessons are creative and engaging for students by doing fun activities which is a

perfect tool to help increase their talents and knowledge. Types of dances we instruct:

Sri Lankan –

Udarata Natum encompasses various sophisticated dance forms with a history of over 300 years. Pahatharata Natum is highly ritualistic dance which is strongly believed to appease evil spirits. Indian -

Bharathanatyam encompasses music, rhythm and expression which strictly adhere to the Natyashastra with a purpose to portray a theme or feeling. Students of Bharathanatyam will be encouraged to participate in exams under the professional guidance of certified examiners from India. Kathak is a major style of dance with a unique history. Kathak simply means “art of storytelling”, graceful, full of rhythm and expressions. We will organize workshops for parents, students who are really interested in joining our Thei Taal Academy.
