AUGUST SCRIPT READ
This month, we are reading “LUNGS” by Duncan MacMillian. Written in 2011, this smart and funny drama follows a couple through the surprising lifecycle of their relationship, as they grapple with questions of family and change, hope, betrayal, happenstance and the terrible pain that you can only cause the people you love.
Duncan MacMillian is the excellent playwright behind the scripts “People, Places and Things” and “Every Brilliant Thing” (both shows produced in Vancouver in the last few years, by and respectively).
We had so much fun with our last two-hander play (Constellations) that we wanted to do it again! We will be rotating roles throughout to allow everyone to read.
Bramble script reads are open to anyone. We randomly assign roles and read through together and discuss the script after. Expect laughter, community, and a relaxed, fun evening!
