'Darkness and emotion are distilled into form using time-honoured techniques, creating a liminal space where trauma and nature collide, leaving humanity to explore what they find aesthetically unnerving. My work decapitates all notions of sanity and creates a familiar yet uncomfortable space that will make the viewer question not only the mental state of me, the artist, but themselves as well. Grime and darkness seize control of my work. There is no escape from humanity's raw unpleasantries of everyday, so why not externalize those emotions into art? Every visceral and uncomfortable moment is an opportunity for greater internal understanding. Within each sculpture, brush stroke or pencil line, I trap these raw feelings that fester and conceptualize as much as humanly possible.'

Jolene Dosch

'Jolene Dosch is a Vancouver-based artist-educator whose work is in dialogue with place. She treats her work as a form of inquiry that keeps her grounded in the rhythms of life.

In her early work in acrylic, Jolene was moved to capture the expansive skies and shifting light of the prairies. In Vancouver, her attention has turned toward botanical subjects in watercolour, a medium that demands patience and a relinquishing of control.

She studied painting, and illustration & design at St. Peter’s College and the University of Saskatchewan, which preceded graduate studies in Making in Education at SFU. This experience deepened her commitment to a regular art practice, which remains integral to her well‑being.

This exhibit reflects a willingness to grow. Inspired by the mascots of the 2026 World Cup, these paintings display a conceptual narrative absent in her earlier work. This collection represents both experimentation and continuity.'

Glenda Mantle

'Canadian artist, Glenda Mantle studied graphic design and fine arts at Vancouver Community College and Emily Carr University of Art & Design, on the beautiful west coast of British Columbia.
Glenda’s career experiences include creative design in advertising, special events & fundraising.

Glenda is very active in supporting community art projects.

She has created decorative wall murals in her community and has donated original paintings on canvas to support local charities and their fundraising efforts.
During the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, Glenda participated in the “Flag Project” at Rockefeller Center in New York City!
Her design, “Radio City Music Hall Rockettes” was one of the winning designs selected and made into an 8’x5’ flag which flew on the flag poles that surround the iconic ice rink at Rockefeller Center.

Glenda’s pop-art style is inspired by artists Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Roy Lichtenstein…with a passion for all things pop culture, including comics, cartoons, and legendary actors and musicians.
Her paintings feature bright and colourful acrylics on large canvases.

Glenda’s artwork can be found in private collections in Canada, Europe, and the United States.'

'I’m a mixed media artist and my work explores memory as a mix of vivid detail, blurred impressions, and emotion through layered materials like photo transfer, alcohol inks, and resin. The resin’s smooth surface preserves each piece, symbolically suspending moments in time. The flowing alcohol inks within the circular forms evoke the organic, unpredictable nature of memory; the circles contrast with the rigid square composition, creating both tension and calm. Overall, the piece invites reflection on how memories are formed, altered, and reinterpreted over time.

This specific series is inspired by my niece Lola who lives in Australia and plays for the National Premier League for NWS (New South Wales) Spirit FC U23, a semi-professional league team for women under 23 and she's only 16 years old. The action images are of her showing off her talent on the pitch.'

'My full name is Anastasia Andreevna Strazhnikova. I am a Russian-born artist currently living and working in Canada. My artistic background and education in Russia deeply shaped my respect for the traditions and techniques of classical oil painting, which continue to influence my work today. I paint landscapes inspired by places I have seen and felt deeply connected to, focusing on light, atmosphere, and emotion. In my work, I see the viewer as the central character, inviting them into a personal dialogue through color and light.
