Summer special 👗🐚🏝️porcelain earrings with 18k gold plated studs.

I wanted to use this blue crackle glaze but I knew it is a very runny glaze, so I put the dark blue celadon glaze on the side to stop the crackle glaze from running down. I love how the dark glaze blended with the crackle glaze. I will have these available this weekend.

すっごく綺麗な釉薬が出来た。I love the new glaze I just made🩷 as usual it’s a little too fluid but if I stiffen it, it probably won’t look the same so I’ll leave as it is and adjust the thickness. I love that after learning glaze chemistry I am able to make a true one of a kind pottery with my own glaze recipe that no one can replicate.

Typhoon 🌀 vase I made for myself. I put flowers 💐 my son gifted me on Mother’s Day. I am so into making vases these days. Just like choosing what plate to serve the food on, choosing which vase to use is a lot of fun🩷

Glazing whale cups: the glaze was getting too low in the big bucket to dip the cup fully, so I poured the glaze in the bowl to get enough depth. I glaze this way so both the inside and the outside get glazed at the same time with a more even result.

I am so relieved that the grey whale who has been hanging around in Vancouver inlet is doing ok after the collision with the jet ski. I signed the petition to better regulate the activity of jet skies in the busy water.

Over the last weekend I sold many whale cups at the .ca stores in Vancouver. I am so happy that my whale cups were picked, probably as gifts for Mother’s Day 🩷

I’ll be leaving for Japan in a couple of days, but these cups will be ready and be restocked in

Did you notice that I set the date for an Etsy drop for the first time ever and it’s tomorrow April 25th!!! I figured if I set the date I will finally make it happen. Although I managed to save only 10 items, it’s a good practice for the future when I have more time to do this. Please sign up on my bio link to get notified. The most recent batch of whale cups. The kiln got a little hotter than usual so the glaze moved down really nicely, except there were some that got stuck to the shelf..I’ll have these available this weekend . This is the best piece I got out of my last Raku firing. Raku is fun because it’s so unpredictable .

The second and third dragon Chawan were made by my grandfather whom I never met, these were recently gifted to me by my uncle as I was born in the year of the dragon. I was told he often used dragons in his pottery because on the property he grew up on, there was a temple with dragon motifs.

I hope he’s happy in heaven knowing one of his grandchildren took over his DNA and enjoys making pottery🩷
