Earlier this July, I had LASIK. For the first few days after, my vision was almost not able to see what I eat and my eyes were too sensitive to whatever lights. Good that was temporary, it gave me a whole new appreciation for something I’d always taken for granted: the ability to see.

So this one-day sale is about more than ceramics.
50% of all sales will be donated to Blind Beginnings, a BC-based charity supporting children and youth who are blind or partially sighted, and their families.

Every piece here is handmade with care. Every purchase helps a family navigating vision loss, while celebrating the gift of sight.

From zero to ten. From clay to cup.

I remember a conversation with Emma Clare Ceramics. She asked if I ever felt lonely spending so much time by myself in the studio after getting my own space.

Since then, I’ve found myself appreciating the quiet even more.

There’s something beautiful about being alone with your thoughts, your hands, and a lump of clay. The studio has become a place where time slows down, ideas take shape, and every piece begins with nothing.

I think “lonely” time can be a lovely thing.

🥹🥹 thank you so much for all your support, all your visit and all the kind words. this city treated me so well. every time when people said, “i am using your pieces everyday.” or “i collected a few of your pieces.” it really touched my heart. reminded me selling pottery is not just in exchange of paying my bills but my creation in a little moment of other people’s life. it is the motivation to keep going and be better on every piece i throw.

pictures are the pieces sold to some sweet strangers, friends or my old students or old students became friends. And, the people brought things from story sale, definitely felt the dopamine hit when i got the notification lol, so fun. special thanks to people brought my beginner pieces home, they proofed my 11 years of pottery journey. Yes, I took my first beginner pottery class in May 2015 (and yes still very obsessed.) without the “ugly” pieces, today’s big salad bowls wouldn’t exist.

a bit of a side story: after packing up the rest, loaded my car found that my car got crushed in the front left from hit n run during the sale. that’s ok, that’s life.

• beginner pieces by donation (shipped all the way from Hong Kong)
• older work
• newer work, last load from the kiln this week.
• seconds, could be plant or pen holder.
• pieces i got emotionally attached to and probably shouldn’t be selling

Basically... a little bit of everything.
Everything needs to go.
Please come help me move one less thing.
Or help me pack too hahaha

Some pieces are imperfect.
Some are experiments.
Some i still kind of love.

But maybe they belong with you now. 🥰
