A Vancouver-based choir focused on building community, growing creatively, and celebrating music 🦋

08/17/2026

Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting FIVE fantastic conducting talents from across Vancouver at Nabi’s Annual Conductors’ Symposium ✨

With UBC’s very own Graeme Langager as their mentor and guide—and Nabi Vocal Ensemble as their ensemble—these early-career conductors had the chance to rehearse and gain valuable instruction.

With a kind smile and crystal-clear critique, Dr. Langager shared strategies and advice to help advance these conductors’ technique, efficacy, and creativity in front of a choir.

We’re so proud of these conductors for embracing the challenge, stepping outside of their comfort zones, and exploring their creativity with us! 🫶🏼

Creating opportunities for emerging artists is one of our key tenants at Nabi, and this Symposium lies at the heart of that goal 🦋

We’re cheering on these conductors’ continued success!

We are SO excited to welcome new singers for our 2026/2027 season.

Nabi, the Korean word for butterfly, represents transformation and rebirth. We chose this image to represent the singers in our group–navigating adulthood while keeping our love for music alive.

Our founders created Nabi to celebrate choral music, uplift early-career musicians, and build a close-knit community. We hope you join us on this journey ✨

aaaaaand Nabi sneaks in to secure the GOLD! 🏆

Nabi wrapped up our second annual Whistler tour last weekend at Con Brio, and it was a trip full of sunshine, singing, and silliness.

It’s such a gift to have a community like this: caring, humble, growth-focused, and wickedly talented.

With hikes, brunches, pool shenanigans, and (we can hardly forget to mention) our award-winning performance, this weekend will live in our hearts for a long time 🩵

Nabi 100 Years! 💫
