Started my autumn series "changing colors and windswept trees".
This is the first piece (work in progress).
24x36" acrylic on canvas.

This series is taking on hints of Vincent Van Gogh in order to capture the movement of the autumn breeze.

Starting painting number 2 of my "tranquil water" series. First I created a yellow white and dark brown tonal ground and sketch in acrylics. Now I'm creating the tonal underpainting in the ballpark final colors. Right now focusing on the caustics (the word for the dancing refracted light through water).
When this tonal painting is finished I'll go over with glazes and feel mediums to create depth and texture with the surface water ripples.

A little progress update on my first piece in my summer "tranquil water" series. My favorite place in the summer to relax and unwind is next to a stream, river or lake, dipping my toes in calm water, clearing my mind, listening to the songs of nature and watching the light dance across the rocks and on the bottom.
I wanted to bring these feelings of peace and harmony into your home. A place to sit and relax and daydream when days are rough or chaotic.
