Lilboofs is a disabled woman living in Dartmouth, NS. She started DJing in 2019 with raver roots in Ottawa dating back to 2011. She is a livestreamer and often streams live on Twitch. Lilboofs has a penchent for a chaotic and experimental digital sound filled with bass and influenced heavily by hip-hop. She is devoted to the underground sound and artists, weaving them throughout her mixes. She has been obsessed with trap since it came out in early 2010's and how it's evolved over the years. She felt right at home when she moved to Halifax in 2013 and found Home Bass at Reflections. Lilboofs has a spinal cord injury from a car accident and uses a wheelchair to get around, except when she goes out she brings crutches because of accessibility. She's always loved partying in Halifax, but now finds it hard to go out since breaking her back. Lilboofs has found it challenging attending raves and shows since becoming disabled. A lot of places are inaccessible and she hopes that by joining festivals she can help assess and make the experience more accessible so more ravers can come out. The accessibility of events often feel overlooked but she wants to give it a shot and hopes to play her first festival this year! DJ: Raving for 15 years, she holds an extensive knowledge of trap, dubstep, witch house, idm, and cutting edge genres. Her preferred sound is the dark underground of hip-hop, cloud rap and trap. She has spent most of her time DJing online, from Twitch streamer to independent at boofsworld.net or at parties hosted at the Cyber Mansion. Streaming: She has been streaming since 2015 on Twitch.tv with over 4k hours logged since 2018, dabbling in YouTube video creation but after years of commitment even though she was "top 2%" of streamers, there was no closing the gap from small streamer to career streamer. Fed up by December 2023, she wanted to try something completely new, something other than 40 hrs a week spent on twitch for little payoff. This frustration spawned BOOFSWORLD.net (created by lilboofs and her roommate heyheykoolaid) a community driven livestreaming platform separate from Twitch. Working on BOOFSWORLD allows them to stream while developing their skills in web development. With the heart of lilboofs and the dedication of heyheykoolaid, they strive to be unconventional, uncensored, wild, and creative while fostering a vibrant community of people from all realms.
