This week is auditions for Hubtown’s upcoming November production of “Jonas and Barry in the Home” by Norm Foster!

Auditions will held be at the Marigold Cultural Centre
🗓️Tomorrow (Tuesday), September 8th - 6:30pm-8pm
🗓️Wednesday, September 9th - 6:30pm-8pm

Have you ever been curious about being a part of a theatrical production? Whether you’re been interested stepping into the spotlight on the stage, or getting involved behind the scenes with props, costumes, set construction and more, this is your chance to come out to auditions and get involved! All experience levels are welcome, so if this is your first production or you’re a seasoned theatre person, we’d love to see you there!

It’s sure to be a fun and hilarious show, and we can’t wait to bring this wonderful Norm Foster comedy to the stage!

Hubtown Theatre Society is excited to announce auditions for Hubtown Theatre Society’s next production of Jonas and Barry in the Home, written by Canadian playwright Norm Foster (Performances November 18th-21st 2026)!

Auditions will be held:
📅 September 8 & 9, 2026
(Tuesday & Wednesday next week!)
⏰ 6:30pm - 8pm both evenings
📍 Marigold Cultural Centre

No advanced preparation is required, script excerpts will be available at the auditions.

For this production, we are currently seeking:
* Men aged 50+
* Woman in their 20s–30s
We welcome performers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re a longtime member of the theatre community or someone who has always wanted to give acting a try, we’d love to see you at auditions!

We would love if you shared this information with friends, family, and anyone you think might be interested in joining us on stage. The more people we can reach, the better! We’re looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones.

Rehearsals have begun for the Michael Jacobs comedy, Cheaters. Come out and join Howard, Monica, Sam, Grace, Allan and Michelle for an evening of fun as they explore Love, passion, betrayal and, well, Cheating. Allen and Michelle are a young couple looking at the future. They decide it is time to bring their parents together to meet. However, there are a couple of surprises in store for everyone when they discover that their parents have already met. In this sharp, wickedly funny comedy, they find their comfortable lives turned upside down when the truth, and a few inconvenient secrets, refuses to stay hidden. We wish everyone a great summer. Don't forget, this August we will be holding auditions for our first season show, which goes on in late October. Tickets are not yet on sale so watch our page for an announcement when they do. There will also be announcements coming up on other shows this season.
