Trenton Lawn Bowling Club The Trenton Lawn Bowling Club is open from May to October. New members of all ages are always welcome! Henry the VIII and Elizabeth 1st also played
lawn bowls.

The History of Lawn Bowls
Lawn Bowls has a long history and found its
start in ancient civilizations in China, Egypt,
Rome, the Aztecs and Polynesia. A Code of Rules was established in the
1850’s in Scotland. Lawn Bowls popularity
grew throughout the British Empire including
Canada in the 19th century. The Trenton Lawn Bowling Club began
in 1945. Equipment needed:
1) Comfortable non-restrictive cl

othing
2) Smooth-soled heal-less shoes
3) Set of 4 bowls
4) Carrying case for the bowls
5) Bowls measure
6) Pencil/chalk
7) Rule book

Annual fee for the 1st year,
per member
$60.00
