This summer, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to spend time painting outdoors in Edwards Gardens with and 45 other Toronto artists, all taking part in a wonderful plein air experience called Essence of the Garden.

On now, from October 3–18, the paintings created by all 46 artists have come together in an exhibition, offering a chance to experience Edwards Gardens through the eyes of the artists who are painting there.

Each day during the exhibition, rotating artists will be outside in the gardens doing live painting demonstrations. Check out this lovely tree I found there to paint this week. So much to see in this lovely garden. So take a walk through the flowers, explore the paths and see how many artists you can spot along the way. What better way to see the colours of autumn.

Starting tomorrow, I’ll be exhibiting a collection of garden paintings at the Toronto Botanical Garden (sneak peek in this reel) as part of Essence of the Gardens.

This summer, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to spend time painting outdoors in Edwards Gardens with and 45 other Toronto artists, all taking part in this wonderful plein air experience.

From October 3–18, the paintings created by all 46 artists will come together in an exhibition, offering a chance to experience Edwards Gardens through the eyes of the artists who spent the summer painting there.

And there’s even more to see! Each day during the exhibition, artists will be outside in the gardens doing live painting demonstrations. So take a walk through the flowers, explore the gardens and see how many artists you can spot along the way.

This summer, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to spend time painting outdoors in Edwards Gardens with , as one of 46 Toronto artists participating in Essence of the Garden.

I’ve been visiting the gardens, painting en plein air and capturing the changing seasons, light and beauty of this special landscape.

Now, the paintings created by all 46 artists will come together in an exhibition, offering a chance to experience Edwards Gardens through the eyes of the artists who spent the summer painting there.

I’m very excited to be exhibiting my work alongside these talented Toronto artists.

I hope you’ll come and see the gardens through our eyes!

It's small but there's just something I really love about the lovely yellows and oranges in this new painting for fall called, "Where the Sunflowers Grow". Another great day painting at the Toronto Botanical Gardens. This was the August "Paint Out," part of the Essence of the Gardens exhibition. There were lots of artists in attendance and luckily the rain held off. I decided to paint this cute little sunflower. It will be on display at our show at the gardens, October 3-17. Hope to see you there! Open daily 10:30am-4:30pm.

Decided to repaint this piece into a vertical composition as I wasn't quite happy with how the first one came out. It's been a hot week but I think it was worth the effort. Don't you? The horizontal can be seen in my last video.
