Made In Canada Expo was successfully launched on June 19–21, 2026, by Afghan-Canadian serial entrepreneur Allahmohammad Kaker. The Expo launch was attended by Carolyn Parrish Mayor of Mississauga, His Excellency Hassan Soroosh Ambassador of Afghanistan, Honourable Ali Ehsassi Member of Parliament, Aziz Amiri President of Canada Afghanistan Business Council; other dignitaries; and community leaders.

At a time when global supply chains are being challenged and trade tensions continue to reshape international markets, initiatives that strengthen Canada's domestic manufacturing capacity have become increasingly important. The Made in Canada Expo represents a significant step toward promoting Canadian innovation, production, and economic resilience.

This platform provides Canadian manufacturers with the opportunity to showcase their products, technologies, and capabilities, helping strengthen local supply chains, encourage investment in manufacturing, create jobs, and expand opportunities for both domestic and export markets. By supporting Canadian-made products and services, Canada can continue building a stronger and more self-reliant economy.

The Expo featured a wide range of industries, including plastics, agriculture, packaging, environmental technologies, manufacturing, and many other sectors that contribute to Canada's economic growth and industrial development.

The Canada Afghanistan Business Council (CABC) was honored to be a vital part of this important initiative. Aziz Amiri Presidnet of the Council delivered a speach congratulating Canada, Canadian businesses and Mr. Kaker for this great Expo. He emphasised that we look forward to supporting future editions of the Expo and helping it grow into one of Canada's premier industrial and manufacturing exhibitions.

The Afghan-Canadian community has consistently demonstrated resilience, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Events such as the Made in Canada Expo highlight the valuable contributions that immigrant entrepreneurs make to Canada's economic development and future prosperity.

It was a such a proud moment to celebrate the graduation ceremony of the 8-Week Business & Entrepreneurship Course, proudly organized by Canada Afghanistan Business Council (CABC) in collaboration with Legacy Business Consultancy.

This cohort brought together approximately 22 dedicated students, all committed to learning, growing, and taking meaningful steps toward entrepreneurship and business leadership.

Over eight weeks, participants explored key business foundations:

• Week 1: Entrepreneurial Mindset
• Week 2: Idea Generation
• Week 3: Market Research & Idea Testing
• Week 4: Branding
• Week 5: Funding & Financial Management
• Week 6: Sales, Marketing & Advertising
• Week 7: Management & Operations
• Week 8: Idea Implementation & Networking

What made this program unique was the combination of academic learning with real-world business experience. Alongside structured educational content, successful entrepreneurs and seasoned Afghan businessmen joined us to share their journeys, lessons, challenges, and practical insights on how they turned ideas into reality.

We are proud to share that:
- 10 students received laptops
- 10 students received websites domaine free for one year
- Approximately 20 students received awards and recognition based on program criteria and performance

These laptop and websites awards were generously sponsored by Ghafoori Holding Group, and we were honored to have CEO Dr. Shafiq Ghafoori present to personally recognize and award the students. His contribution reflects true leadership and serves as an inspiring example for our business community to support, mentor, and uplift one another.

We also extend our appreciation to Naan Kebob Restaurant for providing the space and hospitality sponsored by Ghafoori Holding Group.

Most importantly, this program created real impact—many participants began launching businesses and taking action during the course itself.

This is more than a graduation ceremony.
This is the beginning of a new movement in our community—one that values education, entrepreneurship, collaboration, and building together.

We hope this becomes the norm: learning business, sharing knowledge, and creating ventures that strengthen our community for generations to come.

باعث افتخار و خوشحالی بود که مراسم فراغت دوره ۸ هفته‌ای تجارت و کارآفرینی را که توسط شورای تجارت کانادا–افغانستان (CABC) با همکاری Legacy Business Consultancy برگزار شد، جشن گرفتیم.

در این برنامه حدود ۲۲ اشتراک‌کننده حضور داشتند و طی ۸ هفته موضوعات مهمی چون طرز فکر کارآفرینی، ایجاد ایده، تحقیقات بازار، برندسازی، مدیریت مالی، فروش و بازاریابی، مدیریت و عملیات، و تطبیق ایده و شبکه‌سازی را آموختند.

ویژگی خاص این برنامه، ترکیب آموزش اکادمیک با تجربه عملی تاجران و کارآفرینان موفق افغان بود که تجربیات واقعی خود را با اشتراک‌کنندگان شریک ساختند.

افتخار داریم که:
۱۰ دانشجو لپ‌تاپ دریافت کردند
۱۰ دانشجو وب‌سایت همراه با دامین رایگان یک‌ساله دریافت کردند
حدود ۲۰ دانشجو بر اساس معیارهای برنامه تقدیر و جایزه دریافت نمودند

این جوایز با حمایت سخاوتمندانه Ghafoori Holding Group فراهم شد و حضور محترم داکتر شفیق غفوری در اهدای جوایز، نمونه‌ای الهام‌بخش از حمایت و سرمایه‌گذاری روی نسل آینده کارآفرینان بود.

همچنین از Naan Kabob Restaurant برای میزبانی و فراهم‌سازی فضا سپاسگزاریم.

خوشحال‌کننده‌تر اینکه تعدادی از اشتراک‌کنندگان در جریان همین برنامه، آغاز به راه‌اندازی تجارت‌های خود نمودند.

On May 19th, 2026, Saber Fermand, Chairman & Vice-President, was delighted to represent CABC alongside fellow board members at the Grand Eid Bazaar in Ajax, Ontario.

CABC was proud to witness the success of the bazaar organized by Kakars Companies. Events like these play an important role in uplifting and empowering small businesses within our community by providing local entrepreneurs and vendors with a platform to showcase their products, connect with customers, and grow their businesses.

We also recognize and appreciate the efforts of the organizers, Mr. Allahmohammad Kakar and Mr. Jawad Kakar, whose dedication and hard work contributed greatly to the success of this initiative. On May 9th, 2026, CABC proudly hosted its first Women’s Only Networking Luncheon 2026, a powerful and inspiring gathering that brought together ambitious, talented, and driven women from across the community. This luncheon created a welcoming space for professional growth, mentorship, and connection, while celebrating the achievements and leadership of women in various industries.

We were also honoured to welcome MPP Andrea Hazell, who delivered an empowering and inspiring speech that resonated deeply with attendees and encouraged women to continue striving for leadership, growth, and positive change within their communities. A special thank you as well to our incredible panelists and moderator for sharing their experiences, insights, and valuable advice during such an engaging and inspiring discussion.
