A special 8x10” watercolour commission for a meaningful milestone.

This piece was thoughtfully ordered by a client as a retirement gift for his mom, a painting of her storefront filled with memories from years of dedication and hard work. It’s always an honour to capture spaces that hold so much personal history.

I loved bringing this one to life by adding cast shadows and focusing on the small details, including the signage, textured bricks, and even the bike resting out front. Those little elements are what make a place feel truly lived in.

Wishing her a beautiful and well-deserved retirement .

I’ll be taking a couple of weeks to rest and recharge, but will be accepting a limited number of commissions again in July. Thank you so much for your continued support. It truly means so much!

A dear client who has been following along my artist path trusted me to create a meaningful painting as a gift for her in-laws, and I’m so honoured to have been part of something so personal. Knowing that they noticed and appreciated all the little details I captured truly means everything to me.

Lately, I’ve fallen in love with painting reflections in windows. There’s something about them that brings a deeper sense of life and soul into each piece. I’ve also been drawn to framing homes with trees and plants. It adds contrast, depth, and a sense of warmth that makes the artwork feel alive.

here’s something about slowing down and really noticing the details. The subtle changes in colour from one brick to the next, the way the plants surround a home and frame it with just the right contrast.

When I paint these details carefully, I actually feel a sense of calm. It becomes less about the final piece and more about observing what makes each home special. Those small subtleties are what give it its character and make it feel unique.

There’s something about slowing down and really noticing the details. The subtle changes in colour from one brick to the next, the way the plants surround a home and frame it with just the right contrast.
