Community Announcement 📣

The CINARS Biennale 2026 will take place from November 9 to 14, 2026. 🌟

The 2026 CINARS Biennale will present full-length works in dance, theater, circus arts, interdisciplinary arts, and puppetry, as well as excerpts in music. For each discipline, an international jury of performing arts professionals will select the artists or companies that will perform as part of the official program.

Montreal will once again vibrate to the rhythm of international performing arts. We look forward to welcoming you!

We’re thrilled to introduce the four selected participants of the DUO Mentorship Pilot Program, a new initiative supporting the next generation of Ontario dance leaders.

🌟 Danah Rosales – dance artist, educator, and curator rooted in ballroom and contemporary practice

🌟 Shay Erlich .erlich – multidisciplinary artist and disability justice advocate

🌟 Yuhala Muy García – Artistic Director of Ballet Creole and cultural bridge-builder between Cuba and Canada

🌟 Prathyusha Dwibhashi – Kuchipudi dancer and founder of Laasyam Dance Academy

These incredible artists will embark on a 5-month journey of mentorship, collaboration, and sector growth with DUO. 💜

The Dance Projects program supports professional dance across Ontario through 5 categories:
✨ Creation – Develop new choreography
✨ Production & Presentation – Stage performances live or virtual
✨ Series & Festivals – Presentation costs for programming
✨ Mentorships – For Indigenous artists, Deaf artists and artists with disabilities
✨ Training & Community Development – Forums, workshops, master classes, equity and access initiatives

Open to individual artists, ad hoc groups, collectives, and organizations in any dance style or tradition.
