🎶 Want backstage access to one of Canada’s biggest music festivals?

MusicFest Canada Nationals are coming to Niagara Falls, May 9–17, bringing thousands of incredible student musicians from across the country. And we’re looking for volunteers to help make the week unforgettable.

You’ll be right in the middle of the music — helping run concerts, supporting performances and experiencing the energy of live music all day.

Perfect if you’re a musician, music lover, band kid, choir kid, jazz nerd or just someone who loves live performance.

🎵 APPLY NOW FOR THE 2026 HONOUR ENSEMBLES 🎶
MusicFest Canada, “The Nationals” has opened the application process for students to audition for one or more of the 2026 MusicFest Honour Ensembles:

Applications are open through the musicfest.ca website.

All the live ensembles will perform one-hour feature concerts at the festival. Rehearsals will run from Sunday evening, May 10th through Friday, May 15th. Participation in the honour ensembles includes eligibility for more than $50,000 of industry-sponsored scholarships. Accommodations for out-of-town honour ensemble members have been arranged at the Niagara Fallsview Hotel & Suites in Niagara Falls (Ellison Canadian Honour Choir at the Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls). Honour ensemble members are encouraged to stay at the hotel, but ARE NOT required to do so.

Mitchell has been an incredible part of the MusicFest Canada Production Team for 10 Years! He has worked his way up to Technical Director for Audio and it has been a honour to watch him develop professionally and personally over the last 10 years. Anyone who has had the pleasure of working with Mitchell knows his dedication to MusicFest, to working hard and helping teach new volunteers! Thank you for 10 years and we all look forward to continuing to work with you ! Welcome to the Volunteer Hall of Fame Mitchell ps. —-he is also a fantastic Trombone player!!!

What happens when the final band plays at MusicFest Canada? We start packing up! Drums, chimes, audio equipment, video equipment it all has to be repacked and prepared to go back to sponsors or into storage until next year!
