🎟️ 🎟️ Producing your first Toronto fringe show? Want to get some butts in seats? First Born Theatre is here to help you. With two sold-out fringe shows under our belt we have a core strategy to help you sell and bring in the right audiences for your super special shows. At this symposium we will let you in on our secrets and answer any of your burning questions regarding Toronto Fringe Fest.

🩷✨CALL FOR ARTISTS! 🌷📝🎪 

First Born Theatre’s Reading Room is open for submissions! We’re looking for exciting Toronto playwrights & actors who want to be a part of our community and share their work in a fun and low-stakes setting. 

How it works: we bring a brand new Canadian play into a room. The actors see it for the first time. The audience sees it for the first time. Everyone discovers it together. No rehearsal. No pressure. The perfect way to showcase talent and get to know your neighbors. 

We’re looking for playwrights with an unproduced draft ready to be heard, and actors who love a cold read and want to connect with emerging writers.

What you get:
✨ a small honorarium
✨ playwrights also receive a recording of their reading + a dramaturgy session
✨ a supportive community that wants to see you thrive

Applications are rolling! Apply now and you’ll be considered for every upcoming Reading Room, not just the next one (August 26).
