I'm working on something different! Well, the subject matter is very my norm, but I'm trying a new art style -- I started with a bright red base of acrylic gouache (acrylics don't reactivate with water, so I can paint on top), then did a drawing in crayon on top of that, and now I'm in the process of painting the rest with regular gouache and a very large brush to force myself to not go too detailed. I'm liking it so far!

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of teaching my galaxy workshop ! Thanks to a former workshop participant (thanks, !), I was invited to join a group of kids and family members who have been affected by retinoblastoma. They did a wonderful job with the technique and were lovely to spend the afternoon with, alongside the super sweet interns and volunteers -- one of whom had the brilliant idea of painting an eye with the same technique, and it turned out SO nice!

Also, they let me touch some prosthetic eyes! 👀👀
