Ave Choir Toronto SATB a ca****la singing brings us balance and a peace of mind. Welcome & sing with us! Auditions are ongoing. 'Ave Choir Toronto' has been founded in March 2016.

At Ave Choir, our dream is to bring this gift to anyone who shares our appreciation of choral music. Since then, the choir has proven to be a success with the numerous performances, concerts, festivals, and awards won. Sofya Voronko is the current Artistic Director, who creates unbelievable atmosphere of fun and joy. The choir gathered enthusiastic members who have a common desire to sing classic

and modern choral masterworks. We rehearse every Wednesday 19 pm - 21 pm. We are constantly looking for new members. Please contact us to arrange an audition.

Working on “Because” by the Beatles.
95% of Ave Choir Toronto is non-native English speakers. Moreover, spoken English and SINGlish have two different pronunciations. For instance, when singing, ‘R’ is not pronounced at the end of words (“river” becomes “riva”).
“The” might be pronounced as “da”.
Long words like “inconvenient” will have extra syllables “in-con-ve-no-ent”.. etc.

So be sure to keep all this in mind while holding your part in a-ca****la mixed formation! 😉

Working on “V’la l’bon vent” - a French-Canadian folk song about a prince going on a hunt and seeing three ducks 🦆🦆🦆 he injured the white and killed the black. In our understanding, the ducks are three girls who the prince laid his eyes on (flirted with one, and charmed the other) - what do you think of this interpretation?

We would like to thank our adjudicator, Dr Jamie Hillman, for taking the time to lead a diagnostic workshop with the choir, coaching us to improve our vocal technique and intonation. We will be applying your musical recommendations at tomorrow’s rehearsal!
