Sparks is excited to announce our new association with Norwegian director Torstein Bjørklund for representation in Canada!

Torstein's career began as an actor but he soon found his true calling on the other side of the camera as a director. Torstein's approach to advertising has a refreshing sense of clear messaging often wrapped in a charming layer of comedy.

In addition to his commercial work, Torstein is an accomplished director of fiction. His debut TV series, the HBO hit comedy “Basic Bitch” set a new Norwegian subscription record when it first aired.

We look forward to sharing Torstein's work with the Canadian advertising community. As they say in Norway "dette blir gøy"! ["this will be fun!"]

Sparks is proud to announce our partnership with director Lanre Danmola for representation in Canada!

Lanre is a Brooklyn-based, Nigerian-American commercial and music video director, notably recognized as a top 30 director in SHOOT Magazine's 2024 New Director Showcase.

His surrealist style offers viewers an escape from life’s constraints, inviting them on a visual journey full of bold colours, unique perspectives and clever effects.

Lanre's filmmaking journey began in 2020 as a pandemic hobby, when he cashed in his stimulus check for his first camera. The Duke University engineering graduate soon took the leap into the freelance arena after a year of filming music videos for local artists and ads for local brands.

In three short years, Lanre has directed ads for global brands including Meta, McDonald’s and has designed and executed ad campaigns for such brands through the leading creative agency Wieden+Kennedy.

Independently, Lanre has produced and directed several music videos peaking at #1 on the YouTube trending video charts with over 100 Million views.

We're pleased to announce that Marcelo Burgos has joined the Sparks roster for representation in Canada!

Marcelo is both a director and a sculptor and illustrator. He also possesses an auspicious understanding of visual effects and a meticulous eye for detail.

Marcelo's career began as an agency creative at Ogilvy Buenos Aires, advancing through such shops as Y&R Buenos Aires, BBDO Madrid, Vega Olmos Ponce, and Remo in Spain. This work garnered him more than 70 advertising industry awards, spanning competitions such as Cannes, the Clio Awards, the ANDY Awards, and the NYF Advertising Awards.

He then transitioned to the director’s chair with work for Coca-Cola, Playstation, Samsung, Renault, and others, winning nine Cannes Lions Awards and other national and international awards.

Italian director Adriano Falconi joins Sparks Productions for exclusive representation in Canada!

Recognized for his stunning visual style and artful casting, Adriano is a natural storyteller who began his filmmaking journey in Italy. There he studied cinema, photography and fine arts, honing his craft in bringing deeply emotional and impactful stories to life.

When Adriano eventually landed in Los Angeles, he started directing music videos and spec spots. His “Get Them Dirty” campaign for Adidas earned Adriano a place on the list of 20 New Directors to watch in Boards Magazine.

His highly emotive style quickly spread his name around the globe and for the past 15 years, Adriano has directed in the US, Canada and Europe - delivering work from agencies such as DDB, BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness, BETC, HAVAS, McCann, Leo, Publicis, Stern and many more. His client list includes global brands such as Fiat, Infiniti, Jagermeister, MasterCard, Orange, Leroy Merlin, HP, Samsung and McDonald’s.
