We’ve all been there. 😂

You get excited, ask someone to dance, and they hit you with, “Sorry, I’m too tired.”

No worries. You walk away.

Then 60 seconds later you turn around and… they’re dancing with someone else. 😭😂

What I’ve learned over time is don’t take rejection on the dance floor personally.

People say no for a hundred different reasons. Maybe they needed a break. Maybe they promised someone else a dance. Maybe they just weren’t feeling it in that moment.

Whatever the reason, don’t let one “no” change your energy.

Smile. Ask someone else. Keep dancing.

Because Salsa is way too much fun to spend the night wondering why one person didn’t say yes. ❤️💃🕺

AI can teach you anything… until it can’t. 😂

I love AI. I use it all the time.

But maybe don’t let ChatGPT teach you how to Salsa from your bedroom. 💀

Because dance isn’t just information. There’s nothing like being in a room with other people, laughing, feeling good, getting encouraged, being celebrated and figuring it out together.

Salsa was never meant to be learned alone in your room.

A great instructor can watch you, correct you and help you actually feel what your body should be doing.

Especially before you attempt that triple turn on your heel. 😂

Come for the dancing. Stay for the people. ❤️

A few moments from our August 22 socials 🔥

Whether you’ve only recently learned your Salsa basics or you’ve been dancing for years, everyone ends up on the same dance floor.

That’s what I love about these nights. Dancing, laughing, meeting people and creating a space where you don’t have to prove you belong.

Everyone belongs on the dance floor. ❤️

Before I learned Salsa and Bachata, I never understood when people said, “Just feel the music.”

Feel WHAT?! 😂

I assumed some people were just born with rhythm and the rest of us were out of luck.

Then I started taking classes and realized something important: you can actually learn this.

You learn how to hear the beat. How to count the music. How your steps connect to what you’re hearing. And little by little, something that once felt like a complete mystery starts to feel natural.

That’s when you stop thinking about every step and actually start to feel the music. ❤️

Confidence on the dance floor isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build.

So if Salsa or Bachata feels intimidating because you think you “don’t have rhythm,” good.

Nobody taught you yet. 💃🕺

“I never knew I was starving for it until I first tasted it.” ❤️

That’s honestly what Salsa can feel like.

It’s hard to explain to someone who’s never done it. The music. The energy. The connection. The confidence you start building. Walking into a room where people are genuinely excited to see each other, dance together and have fun.

Then you try it and suddenly you get it.

And before long, you become THAT friend trying to convince everyone in your life to come dancing with you. 😂

“You have two left feet? Perfect.”
“You don’t have a partner? You don’t need one.”
“You’ve never danced before? Even better.”

You just want the people you care about to experience what you discovered.

That’s why our Salsa Level 1 classes at Toronto Dance Salsa are built specifically for adults starting from zero.

Come try it. You might finally understand why your Salsa friend won’t shut up about it. 😂❤️

There’s something special about finding that Salsa partner where everything just clicks. ❤️

The timing feels easy. The connection feels natural. You try something new and they’re right there with you. And sometimes you finish the dance thinking, “Yep… I like this one.” 😂

That’s one of the best parts of Salsa. You’re constantly meeting new people, dancing with different partners and discovering connections you never would have found otherwise.

And you don’t need to be an experienced dancer to experience it. Everyone starts somewhere.

Come learn Salsa with us at Toronto Dance Salsa. No partner needed. Two left feet welcome. 💃🕺

Imagine if the world was Salsa accessible. ❤️

The first picture is real and was taken in Cali Columbia.

Apparently Cali, Colombia is already living in the future. 😂💃

But why stop at Salsa pedestrian lights?

We need Salsa crossings.
Salsa-friendly public transit.
Elevators with proper couple capacity.
And obviously… free gas if you can dance for two minutes. 😂

The world would simply be a better place if it were more Salsa accessible. 🌎❤️

Toronto, we have some catching up to do.

That first Salsa class feeling 😂

You walk in thinking, “I have no idea how this is going to go.” You’re trying to remember which foot moves first, wondering if everyone else somehow already knows what they’re doing.

Then something starts to click.

You get the basic step. You make it through a turn. You dance with a few different people. You laugh at your mistakes.

And suddenly you leave thinking:

“I AM THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.” 😂🔥

That little confidence boost is one of my favourite things about learning Salsa.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need a partner. And yes, you can absolutely show up with two left feet.

You just need somewhere supportive enough to help you take that first step. ❤️

08/17/2026

There’s a reason we don’t offer drop-in Salsa classes. ❤️

We want to give you more than just a random dance lesson. We want you to have a place where you can actually learn, progress and build confidence week after week.

Our classes are structured so you learn with the same group throughout the session. We manage registration and rotations so you don’t need to bring a partner, and you get the opportunity to dance with different people in class.

That consistency is where something pretty amazing happens.

Strangers become classmates. Classmates start cheering each other on. People who walked in convinced they had “two left feet” start feeling like dancers. And somewhere along the way, a class starts feeling like a community. ❤️

That’s what we’re building at Toronto Dance Salsa.

Not just Salsa classes.

Confidence. Connection. Belonging. 💃🕺
