Featuring TAC’s Sunday ART Spotlight:
Abdul Khaliq Artisan Abdul | Autumn Haze

20" X 30" - Soft Pastel on Paper

Autumn Haze shows a quiet autumn landscape wrapped in soft haze, with trees fading gently into a muted field of gold, brown, and charcoal tones. A strong tree in the foreground frames the scene, while the distant trees blend into the mist and create a sense of depth and stillness. Rooted in realism and a tonal approach, the work captures the calm mood of early evening light and the changing season. Its soft colours and atmospheric feel suggest quiet reflection, melancholy, and a sense of renewal.

Featuring TAC’s Sunday ART Spotlight:
Rabia Kazmi | September Fields

20" X 30" - Soft Pastel on Paper

In this work, I allowed myself complete freedom to be expressive through drawing and the use of pastels. I worked intuitively, letting color, movement, and mark-making lead the composition rather than strict form. The bold reds and warm earth tones reflect energy, emotion, and the raw presence of the landscape, while cooler blues and greens bring balance and depth. Pastels allow me to draw and paint at the same time, which feels natural and honest to me. This piece is about motion, feeling, and connection with nature, created through loose gestures, layered textures, and an unfiltered emotional response.

Meet TAC
Artisan Abdul
Landscape and Still life Artist

Abdul Khaliq's work is representational realism rooted in surrounding landscapes and everyday objects. He uses a limited palette of toned-down earthy shades to achieve tonalist effects, often focusing on dawn and dusk, when silhouettes emerge against mystical skies.

These transitional moments carry a sense of new beginnings and quiet optimism, infused with a calm, melancholic, contemplative mood. I am especially drawn to the subtle atmospheric nuances of light and seasons, particularly at twilight, which allows me to explore mood and drama.
As a self-taught artist, He grew up in the remote, picturesque regions of Pakistan’s North Western Frontier Province, where the land first captivated his imagination. Later, in the culturally rich city of Lahore, Punjab, He began to truly explore and refine his artistic voice.

His move to Canada expanded this journey, giving him a new environment and opportunities to deepen his practice. His work has been exhibited at distinguished private and public venues, featured in numerous group shows, and included in both public and private collections.

Painting is a source of catharsis and his primary mode of self-expression. A work feels complete when it carries a sense of fulfillment and inner resolution. To viewers, he hopes his work offers a space for reflection and a compelling aesthetic sense of connection.

Featuring TAC’s Sunday ART Spotlight:
Zunaira Mufti ZDot Design Studio | The Mosque Cathedral: The Rise and Fall of Al-Andalus

24" x 36" - Acrylic Painting

This painting is a tribute to the timeless grandeur of the Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba, where faith and art once converged. Here, architecture becomes poetry and stone transforms into an expression of devotion, giving rise to one of the most extraordinary monuments of Islamic civilization. Inspired by Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s poem “Masjid-e-Qurtuba,” the work reflects on the enduring spirit of faith while echoing a sense of longing for a sacred space silent through centuries
