📚 Calling All Cookbook Authors!
The deadline to enter the 6th Annual International Vegan Film Festival Cookbook Contest is almost here!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already entered. We're thrilled by the incredible collection of inspiring, plant-based titles we've received!
Whether someone is newly vegan, vegan-curious, simply looking to enjoy more plant-based meals, or has been living compassionately for years, great cookbooks have the power to educate, inspire, and bring people together. Our contest celebrates the authors behind those books and shines a spotlight on the very best from around the world.

Eligibility:
To qualify, your book must be:
🌱 100% vegan (no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or honey)
📖 A first-edition physical book published in 2025 or 2026
📝 Written in English
How to Enter:
Complete your online entry and submit the $30 USD entry fee by July 31.
Each entry must also include either:
• 4 finished print copies, or
• 4 advance reading copies.
These copies are required for the preview and judging process and cannot be returned. With prior approval from the contest coordinator, electronic copies may be accepted in place of printed books.
All books or advance reading copies must arrive at the IVFF office by August 31. (The mailing address will be included in your confirmation email after your application and entry fee have been received.)

What Happens Next?
Our judges don't simply flip through the pages -- they'll be cooking, tasting, reviewing, and sharing their favourite discoveries on social media. Each judge evaluates up to three entries, giving every book the thoughtful attention it deserves.
The Top 3 will be announced online in the fall of 2026 and then honoured at the newly expanded International Vegan Film Festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in September 2027, where they will receive cash prizes.
Every entered title will also be showcased at the Festival, complete with a QR code so attendees can easily learn more -- and purchase a copy if they'd like.
