I am going to try and write a statement about my photographs. First of all, I don't think I am pretentious guy. I am just trying to create images that look pleasing to my eye.
Before I explain, I would like to give my thanks to my wonderful, beautiful and talented wife, who has created so many beautiful works of art that grace our home (s), those of our friends and relatives, and of course, those of her clients. Lilli helped me separate out the pretentious crap from my portfolio, and gave me insight into the directions I should be pursuing.
I would also like to give thanks to my teacher in Florida, Jack Wild. Jack is an accomplished photographer for Vogue and other publications and is a true artist. In the last few years, he has become an outstanding teacher and inspired so many folks in Florida that his classes and his spin off classes are always filled. He taught me to see better, to explore more and to appreciate the illusive thing called art.
I can never even come close to his mastery
I am trying to do several things. 1) I am trying to create a compelling "normal" photograph; 2) I "rescue" dreadful and boring pictures (I have too many of these) by applying a variety of my (I think) unique photoshop techniques to turn them into purely abstract images; and 3) I have developed a means of rendering collages which are culled from several other pictures.
I seemed to have received some positive feedback from some of you. So I will keep adding to this site.
