Soprano Measha Brueggergosman-Lee received the Canada Council’s most prestigious award at the reception following Opera Atelier’s production of Dido and Aeneas for the gala opening of Chamberfest.

Congratulations to Measha on being awarded the Molson Prize! .brueggergosman.lee

French tenor Antonin Rondepierre - a voice of breathtaking beauty and an artist of great finesse.

The Odyssey is in the air thanks to Christopher Nolan’s superb filmic retelling of the story. Monteverdi’s opera The Return of Odysseus (Ulysses) is equally thrilling as can be seen in these photographs from Opera Atelier’s 2018 production.

Opera Atelier's production of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas served as the gala opening for Ottawa's Chamberfest 2026.

Semi-staged in the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre, Opera Atelier's singers, dancers, and an ensemble of players from Tafelmusik under the baton of OA Associate Music Director created a sensation: a sold out house and a standing ovation. After the performance, OA Artist in Residence soprano Measha Brueggergosman-Lee (who played the Sorceress) received the Molson Award from the Canada Council for the Arts. A thrilling evening for all involved.
