Join us in celebration at Continuance – Immersive Commemoration, a site-specific multimedia performance co-presented by Kaha:wi Dance Theatre and Woodland Cultural Centre. This performance marks the unveiling of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School as a place of learning, responsibility, and reflection on its history.

Led by Artistic Director Santee Smith, Continuance draws on over a decade of engagement at the site and dialogue with Survivors. Rooted in the Ohen:ton Karihwatehkwen (Thanksgiving Address), it combines light, movement, live music, and 3D projection to honour lived experience and celebrate Indigenous cultural continuance.

This presentation coincides with:
• The 10th anniversary of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action
• Kaha:wi Dance Theatre’s 20th anniversary season
• Woodland Cultural Centre’s 50th anniversary

Special guest artists:

Thank you, Napa Parks and Recreation, and the City of Napa, for inviting our team at AVA Animation & Visual Arts Inc to be part of the Napa Lighted Arts Festival, and for creating spaces to celebrate unity, colour, and diversity in these complex times.

Our work “Patterns” explores the concepts of unity, harmony, collaboration, and peace, reminding the viewer of the common threads that connect us all. Inspired by reimagined folk patterns, the artwork aims to create a space that celebrates Napa’s past and future, binding together shapes and patterns from its ancestry to illuminate the city.

Our latest collaboration with CN Tower / Tour CN officially launched yesterday! The CN Tower is a key symbol of Canada to the world. It is a huge honour for our team at AVA Animation & Visual Arts Inc to help create “Artmosphere,” an interactive and immersive digital gallery space 113 storeys above the city. Artmosphere features original works by 12 incredible Canadian artists.

✨ Winter Art After Dark is here! ✨

We are thrilled to collaborate again with the to light up the city of Mississauga with incredible projection mapping artworks this weekend, featuring artwork from eight amazing artists including: Fatimah I., Ashton NightHawk, Inaya Sher, Miranda Li, Amanda Foulds, Quinn H., Alek Phan Truc and Rainier Naomi

We are so grateful to be working once again alongside amazing public art curator Philippa French, who made this project possible.

Huge shout out to our the city’s Public Art Intern, Siah McTavish, who has been supporting us from day one, and the amazing artist Yen Linh Thai who will be leading a family-friendly projection workshop on December 7.

Join us this weekend, Dec 5-7, for Winter Art After Dark -- an outdoor public art exhibition using projection mapping technology in Celebration Square!

Experience the Hazel McCallion Central Library like never before as its façade transforms into a spectacular canvas of light, colour and motion. This 3D projection mapping exhibition features the work of eight talented local artists—Fatimah I., Ashton NightHawk, Inaya Sher, Miranda Li, Amanda Foulds, Alek Phan, Noodin Studio, and Rainier Naomi—who have created mesmerizing animated works exploring themes of technology, storytelling & imagination that reflect and showcase the wonders of Mississauga.

Toronto Remembers: Commemorative Projections started today at Old City Hall.

We are honoured to collaborate with the to create this visual display, marking two significant milestones: 80 years since the end of the Second World War and the 100th anniversary of the Toronto Cenotaph at Old City Hall. We dedicate this work in tribute to the 3,516 servicemen and servicewomen from Toronto who gave their lives in service to Canada during the Second World War.

2025 also marks 100 years since the Toronto Cenotaph was officially unveiled on November 11, 1925, as a memorial to honour the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to Canada during times of war and peacekeeping.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the City of Toronto Strategic Protocol & External Relations team and City Cultural Events team for their trust and guidance.

This event is free and suitable for all ages. It runs from Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, to Tuesday, November 11th, 2025. From 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, every 30 minutes
