Chelsy Althea is a storyteller, filmmaker, painter, and songwriter, who combines her artistic sensibilities to create works exploring issues of mental health, trauma, and human nature. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in film and minor in philosophy at Ryerson University, where she received the Nadia Marzouca award for her writings about mental health and art. She studied Scenography and Design for Arts and Entertainment. Chelsy fights for issues of equal representation in the arts across ethnic groups and class divisions.
