Sniffing coffee doesn’t reset your nose, it just buries the fragrance notes you’re nose blind to. Your olfactory system recovers through rest, not by processing 800+ new aroma compounds. Retailers know this, yet the bowl stays anyways.

The real consequence: you end up evaluating a fragrance through a haze, buying something that smells completely different once you’re actually wearing it at home.
