My hubby's second ever apprentice tattoo session and it's like night and freaking day!! Top one is his first session and second line is from today. I was amazed how he could catch details/nuances, connect lines where he left off without going off course, and corrected mistakes. He found how to stabilize his naturally shaky hand and I instantly saw his confidence go way up.
I can't wait for him to be ready to tattoo these on me!!
Man, that was sexy AF watching him do this. I'm so damn proud. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ˜

WORK IN PROGRESS (scroll through to see images over the years):
My brother-from-another-mother (and father) started this backpiece he had been planning since 2003, back in 2019. We have been talking about it since we met in 2007.
There was a short shading session in 2022 then a 4 year hiatus.
Today we sat for 2.5hrs to start the redo of the outlines and knock out some shading too! So good to get back to this piece after it being in the works for almost 20 years (from planning to being in progress).

MY HUSBAND THE TATTOO APPRENTICE!!!

For my birthday this year (end of August) I asked him for two tattoos I've always wanted. Rirruto (a Billy Madison reference) and Dignity (a Simpsons reference). So I'm teaching Joe how to tattoo starting on practice skin. He's a talented artist that never uses his talents so I know he can do it, he just needs the push and some confidence. It was awesome seeing him get better as he went along.
I'm so proud. ๐Ÿฅฒ
Can't wait for our next session.

We're doing an "Autumn/Halloween" themed piece on her right calf and then next will be a "Summer" theme on her left for her two favourite seasons (mine too!).
