Not just on Mother’s Day, but every single day, I think about the life we would have had if my mother hadn’t brought us to Canada. A single mom of two, she packed up our lives and moved across the world all by herself — with nothing but courage and hope.
She taught me to never give up, to never put up with BS, to speak my mind, and to stand strong and independent. Everything I am today is because of how she raised us — with so much love and unbreakable resilience.
I didn’t fully understand the depth of her sacrifices until I became a mother myself. And when I became a single mom, she was right there by my side, just as she always has been.
Thank you, Mom, for everything. I’m endlessly grateful.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women out there — especially the single moms, the ones who start over, and the ones who love fiercely even when it’s hard. You are seen, you are appreciated, and you are changing the world. 💕🌸
