JOHN CLELAND - VOICE-OVER AND ANIMATION
John has acted on stages across Canada and on the big screen and small screen. His voice career has spanned two decades including 6 seasons as Lte. Petrovsky on Afghanada (CBC), various radio dramas, audiobooks, cartoons and campaigns including being the voice of Ford Canada for 10 years. John is currently performing recurring or lead roles in 3 cartoons (Clifford the Big Red Dog, AlienTV and Remy and Boo) and is the voice for Come From Away and Newfoundland and Labrador among other commercial spots.

CHRISTOPHER MOTT - COMBAT FOR CAMERA

With over 20 years of professional acting experience, Christopher has done everything from Shakespeare to stunts, improv to puppets. For stage and camera, he has performed in suits, uniforms, tights, tutus, togas, kilts and chainmail. He holds an B.A.(hon.) from the University of Guelph. He frequently performs with Dauntless City Theatre doing classical theatre for modern urban audiences, has over 25 commercial credits, and for 12 seasons played the series lead in Decoder Ring Theatre’s award-winning Black Jack Justice podcast. Christopher has been a fight director for stage and screen for almost 20 years, and has been a certified Instructor with Fight Directors Canada since 2008. He teaches combat for camera in the Acting for Media program at George Brown College, and is a senior instructor at Rapier Wit Studios, Canada's only permanent school for stage and screen combat.

One-week break from June 1 – 5
7 WEEK GRADUATE INTENSIVE.
This is an amazing opportunity for actors who have graduated from a theatre school or theatre professionals with five years or more professional experience, and who wish to have more experience in front of the camera and in the sound booth, even get to work in a motion capture suit! In seven weeks, spend 81 hours in front of the camera, transferring your theatre acting skills to the camera. Play in the different genres of television and film, comedy, drama, sit-coms, period, medical, cop and law shows. Get a taste of the myriad of opportunities now open to actors in voice over, animation and performance capture. Learn what to expect in the audition room and how to present yourself and your talent in the best possible light. Distinguished guest speakers from the profession for interactive talks.

THIS IS AN AMAZING DEAL: 165 hours of classes for only $2,100. More than half of what you would pay in the major acting studios in town to get the same classes.

This seven-week intensive certificate is specifically designed for actors who have already graduated from recognized theatre schools and who wish to acquire, develop and deepen their on-camera acting skills in order to move more confidently between worlds of the stage and the media. As well, this program is designed for professional actors who have been in the theatre primarily, for at least five years, who wish to feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

Students take FOUR, 3-hour on-camera scene study classes a week, lasting the full seven weeks. In addition, weekly, students take 2-hour classes in voice-over, animation, combat for film, new technology acting (performance capture), auditioning for film and commercials, and creating your own work.
Included is a weekly guest lecture series with professional directors, producers, actors and agents speaking on relevant topics within the field.
