"Before I begin, I wanted to give you a little idea of what Couleurs du Nord is. Basically, it's like Parts Unknown by Anthony Bourdain, mixed with Art Attack. Youth directed the project, and the host is like Arnold (Schwarzenegger)—one of those proud Franco-Ontarians who uses spray paint.
All of this is to say thank you. The team from the North is going to be so proud. They can't wait, and they're standing by right now.
Just the fact that we were able to share the stage with you, the fact that your industry made it possible to gift and create 20 murals to Northern Ontario, in regions that are often overlooked, it means so much.
As a graffiti artist, as a Franco-Ontarian, this is my first time making a small mark in your industry. The trust that you gave me and the teamwork that you shared with me were crazy.
Just so you know, they don't understand a single thing I'm saying right now. Yet they trusted me with their project, with their dreams, with their team, even TFO…the sketch that I sent was on the napkin…what!
Just the fact that I said there was an empty space, you didn't see it as just an empty field, see how we were sitting?
Sorry, there are no awards in the world of graffiti, I’m not used to it, so I'm going to take my time.
