Synopsis du film
Saad, un jeune Marocain exilé au Québec, est prêt à tout pour sauver l'homme qu'il aime, un réfugié iranien menacé d'être renvoyé dans son pays où une mort certaine l'attend. Pour tenter l'impossible, Saad entreprend de séduire un influent porte-parole du ministère de l'Immigration. Ce pari dangereux déclenche une série d'événements aussi intimes que politiques, où chaque décision engage bien plus que des sentiments.

Film synopsis
Saad, a young Moroccan exile in Quebec, is ready to do whatever it takes to save the man he loves, an Iranian refugee who is about to be sent back to his country, where certain death awaits him. To attempt the impossible, Saad sets out to seduce a powerful spokesperson from the Ministry of Immigration. This dangerous gamble triggers a series of events that are as intimate as they are political, where each decision involves much more than just feelings.

A huge thank-you to the wonderful students and teachers from Northlea and Duke of Connaught for bringing so much enthusiasm to the special screening of Hola Frida on Friday, May 8, at Cineplex Empress Walk.
