A Rare Limited Edition — Only One Available now

A beautiful intersection of Persian folklore, childhood memory, and modern Iranian art.

This special hand-pulled print by Nasser Ovissi draws inspiration from “Gonjeshak-e Ashi Mashi” (گنجشکک اشی‌مشی), a beloved traditional Iranian folk tale and rhyme passed from one generation to another.

Ovissi transforms the familiar story into his own visual language, combining Persian writing, expressive figures, and sequential scenes that give the composition an almost storybook quality. Looking closely, the work unfolds piece by piece—like pages from an old childhood memory reimagined through the eyes of one of Iran’s important modern artists.

Executed in the 1960s or early 1970s, the work belongs to a very limited edition of only 50 impressions. Today, all of the editions previously available to us have been sold, leaving just one remaining example available through ERAN Gallery.
