Photos from the second and third days of Do West Festival 2026, presented by Little Portugal BIA. Colours of Strings is a supported art‑yarn installation created for the Community Stage inside the shipping-container venue.

***

Colours of Strings is a hand‑built art‑decor installation that weaves together yarn, rope, and wood to create a warm, tactile atmosphere inside a shipping-container stage. Every strand is stretched, knotted, and layered to form a living tapestry of colour and movement, echoing the energy of Do West Fest 2026 and the creative spirit of Little Portugal Toronto BIA.

The piece invites visitors to step into a textured world where craft meets community, an intimate, playful environment shaped by handmade materials and the rhythm of festival life.

Location: Toronto, Canada

Centennial Echo II

Layered curves and rhythmic pulses continue the movement across space. The work reflects the century‑long journey of gravitational waves from theoretical prediction to scientific detection, inspired by Einstein’s groundbreaking insight. This piece transforms a cosmic phenomenon into a visual language of rhythm, tension, and continuous motion, capturing how unseen forces shape the universe and our understanding of it.

Centennial Echo I

Flowing bands of colour move between concentrated forms, visualizing invisible forces travelling through space and time. Inspired by Einstein’s gravitational waves and the century-long journey from theory to detection, the composition transforms a scientific phenomenon into rhythm, tension, and continuous motion.

One more video for the ‘ColoRise’ 2026 artistic installation this year. Installed on the second level of the Erin Mills shopping center, it transforms with every angle. From below, it becomes a floating ship with colorful “sails” catching invisible winds. From above, vibrant threads stretch upward, rising toward the sunroof sphere like beams of playful energy reaching for light.

By day, ColoRise dances in brightness; by night, it shifts into contrast and silhouette, its colors deepening, its lines sharpening, becoming a quiet constellation suspended in space.

A familiar artwork, yet reborn, a gentle reminder that perspective changes everything.
