PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Nargiza Usmanova is a Creative Designer & Visual Artist. Making our planet better by creating a beauty is my life goal. I have worked in different fields of visual art: Painting & Decorations, Interior & Exhibit Design, Installations & Product Design, Graphic Design, and Illustration in multiple countries. This work experience has given me a great base for my current works and passion. I am keen on architecture & modern interiors and I like to work with urban objects. Design of unusual public areas, interior design, lounge and entertaining zones, art installations & performances are my current interests and successful projects performed internationally: Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Finland, Turkey & Canada. On Dundas Street West in Little Portugal, 'Colour of Strings' transformed a simple container into a glowing, rhythmic art stage for Do West Fest 2026. Layers of yarn, colourful ropes, and pendant chaplet‑like elements swayed with the wind, turning the structure into a living sculpture that moved with the music.

Do West Fest is a celebration created by the community itself, a neighbourhood festival filled with art, culture, and connection. This installation became a joyful summer landmark, capturing the spirit of Little Portugal and the creativity that defines Dundas West.

Photos from the second and third days of Do West Festival 2026, presented by Little Portugal BIA. 'Colour of Strings' is a supported art‑yarn installation created for the Community Stage inside the shipping-container venue.

'Colour of Strings' is a hand‑built art‑decor installation that weaves together yarn, rope, and wood to create a warm, tactile atmosphere inside a shipping-container stage. Every strand is stretched, knotted, and layered to form a living tapestry of colour and movement, echoing the energy of Do West Fest 2026 and the creative spirit of Little Portugal Toronto BIA.

The piece invites visitors to step into a textured world where craft meets community, an intimate, playful environment shaped by handmade materials and the rhythm of festival life.
