Zheng, or Guzheng, the 21-stringed zither, is a Chinese traditional instrument with a history of over 2500 years, the first records of its playing dating from the Qin Kingdom

Once performed in imperial music ensembles, modern Zheng techniques, inspired by Western instruments, allow a level of rapidity, rhythm and precision with a large music range, that instrument has gained popularity in China and overseas.
